Camtasia
While I was filming my Camtasia review, the screen of my computer stopped working and turned black. The next day I went to the Apple Store and found that there was problem with my logic board, so they sent it out to be fixed. I have just received my computer back and watched my Camtasia video after being away from it for almost a week. I believe this unfortunate occurrence allowed me to step back from my video and interpret it.
My intent when filming my Camtasia video was to see if I had any visible responses to scrolling through Facebook. I realized that I hardly had any reaction to anything aside from slight changes in my eyes. I barely moved during the entire 14 minute, 35 second period. This makes me consider all of the claims that Internet usage decreases our social skills. Based on my footage, I can definitely say that the Internet and this technology are far from interactive, when you consider the way that a lot of people passively use them. I am definitely not utilizing any communication skills while scrolling through my Facebook feed, especially because I typically am just there to see what other people post.
